Yacht or resort: six questions to help you choose
Sailing or staying in one place: what changes in rhythm, space and logistics.
A yacht and a resort can offer the same level of service and still propose very different journeys. Here are six questions to help you decide between them.
Do you want to wake up somewhere new or return to the same place? The Four Seasons I changes ports often — in her first year, 32 voyages across more than 30 countries and territories — while Amanpulo is a single island.
How much space do you need? The yacht has 95 suites, with modular walls that connect for families or groups; at Amanpulo there are casitas and villas of up to four bedrooms with a private pool.
How do you arrive? You board the yacht at a port; you reach Amanpulo through Clark and a 90-minute direct flight to the island.
What do you do with your days? On board there is a spa, a marina and excursions in more than 130 destinations; on the island, kitesurfing, diving, snorkeling and walks.
How many people are traveling, and what ages? What season do you want? The yacht sails the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter; for the island, it is wise to check dates early. Tell me your answers and I will design the comparison around you.
